South Coast Outtakes 2

part of the attraction
of sea kayaking
is just being outside
watching the light on the water

here is a series of snippets
from a few months wandering
my home range haunts
somehow mashed together
(with a kayak cameo appearance)

winter surf point

this is cobbled together from 'footage'
from a series of surfs at the one point
from last winter (9 months ago)

these surfs are pre-hammer days
love the playfulness of the hammer
(it's like a stretched whitewater play boat)
but the delphin is still a fun fun play boat
depends how much 'turnability' floats your boat

check out https://www.facebook.com/groups/CSKPG/
that's the cork sea kayak playgroup
they always seem to have fun in their delphins
the sticker on my delphin is from CSKPG
hey dunneryak, where's the sticker for the hammer?

prom

prom
as in promontory
pre-sunrise river,
languid swells brushing
granite capes and boulders
off-shore islands beckoning
..........another kayak heaven

ocean river creek

the holiday plan was to paddle interstate...

but the ocean seemed uncomfortably energetic
on the 2nd day out
so we elected to hang out in the river and creek

and eventually paddled back the way we came
under the spell of an enigmatic forecast

no one hurt or injured,
you get to see the vid
and funny enough,
we still had a good time

also my last paddle
in the nordkapp rm.....
my 2nd boat i owned
good bye old friend
(miss you already)
ben - have fun...

and that interstate paddle
is still there
quietly waiting

thanks to brendan
for being easy

2 tents, 2 kayaks, 2 chairs, 0 campers > perfect

race for the bow

flying reeds

cows to the left of me, jokers to the right...

up the creek with a paddle

a morning raft

walking the dogs

hung up on rocks >>  kayak is plastic, so OK to laugh

yawn - another sunset
couldn't decide on best title 'still'

i sorta like this one's simplicity and the image doesn't distract from the message
but happy to discuss this with you.......... if you bring the scotch
